2022 BHGL Employee Calendar Contest

Each month, B. H. Graning Landscapes, Inc. employees have the opportunity to submit photographs they take while on jobsites or at company properties for the possibility to win $100. In the fall of the year, photos are selected and sent in for print. Winners are announced each year at the company Christmas party and are presented with their cash prize.

Note to BHGL Employees

Due to this being a printed calendar, there is a preference for landscape orientation for photographs. If you do submit portrait orientated photography, they will have to be cropped to be printed which may remove up to a third of the picture.

Submit Your BHGL Employee Calendar Photos Here

If you are a B. H. Graning Landscapes Employee and wish to submit photos, please visit www.bhglandscapes.com/calendar-contest.

2022 Perfect Touch Scholarship Champion

Congrats to John Riddle, 2022 Perfect Touch Champion

B. H. Graning Landscapes & Landscape Supply would like to announce a new Perfect Touch Champion, John Riddle.

Some facts provided by our champion:

  • I am a Sophomore here at Western.
  • I am a Natural Resource Management major with a concentration in forestry.
  • I’m from a remote village in interior Alaska call Galena. Galena is only accessible by bush plane or snowmachine and is located 50 south of the artic circle.
  • I have 4 family members. Three of which are alumni of WCU and the fourth will be a freshman here this upcoming semester.
  • I came to be a part of the WCU community because it runs in my blood. Not only have all my family members attended WCU, but the southern Appalachians is my ancestral home ground.
  • I hope to one day get a job with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) or the US Forest Service. While I’m still unsure on what my career will be long term, I plan on working as a Wildland Firefighter for a few seasons after college (I got officially certified to be a Type II Wildland Firefighter today).
  • I was on my high school’s basketball team for all four years as the starting center, but before the competition, I hadn’t touched a basketball in nearly 2 years.

"I’d like to say thank you to B.H. Graning Landscape and Supplies for giving me the opportunity to participate and also for helping me, a broke college kid, out immensely with some much-needed cash."

~John Riddle, 2022 Perfect Touch Champion
